ICRA 2022 2nd Workshop “Opportunities and Challenges with Autonomous Racing”

Dear Autonomous Racing Enthusiast,

Last year we hosted the inaugural workshop on “Opportunities and Challenges with Autonomous Racing” which was a huge success with many participants.

I am happy to share with you that this year we are going into the next round and will organise the 2nd Workshop on Opportunities and Challenges with Autonomous Racing
at the 2022 International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2022) in Philadelphia, USA.
The registration is for FREE and the workshop will be held in hybrid mode (Virtual+ In-Person). You find all information and the registration link here: https://icra2022.f1tenth.org/

We are interested in learning more about autonomous systems operating at the limits of perception, planning and control and happy to have and incredible list of speakers on board:
Bryn Balcombe (Roborace), Mauro Salazar (TU Eindhoven) and Srikanth Saripalli (Texas A&M University) will tell us about individual hardware and software development.
Alexander Wischnewski (TU Munich), Marko Bertogna (University of Modena) and Sergio M. Savaresi (Politecnico di Milano) dominated the Indy Autonomous Challenge with their teams and we will get a deeper insight in their software architecture.
Evangelos Theodorou (Georgia Tech), Jonathan Goh (Toyota Research Institute) and Mac Schwager (Stanford) will provide us insights in path planning and control in high dynamic environments.

Call For Papers:

In addition we invite interested researchers, students and developers to submit papers for this workshop related to the topics and the theme of autonomous racing. Position papers, work in progress and novel but not necessarily thoroughly worked out ideas are encouraged. The submissions will be reviewed by the workshop’s program committee and we will accept papers for oral (live) presentations, or a video highlight. Our goal is to publish them in a Special Issue afterwards.

Important Dates:

Paper submission site opens: January 1st, 2022
Paper submission deadline: April 22nd, 2022 [Firm deadline, no extensions]
Notice of Acceptance: May 13, 2022

Notice of Acceptance: May 13, 2022

Looking forward to have you again visit this workshop, participate in the discussion and enhance the autonomous racing community.
